Good morning my RP Family. I have become aware that summer is finally over and that it is getting dark earlier and it is getting much colder. Of course that doesn’t take much effort to be aware of that, but often it slowly darns on oneself that these changes have occurred. This was what happened to me, as a person who said he loved God and was thankful for his Grace through the Sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ for our sins, I one day became aware that I had woefully fallen far from everything that I thought I held dear. While in my field of Aviation Ordnance, in the Navy and as a Deputy Sheriff, working the streets, required my awareness of hidden dangers around me and my co-workers, I failed to see the hidden dangers in my spiritual life. When I finally became aware of how far I had strayed, I was very remorseful and at the same time very happy knowing that God would welcome me back into a close relationship with Him because of His Son’s love for me and His sacrifice for me. This awareness has brought me into a closer relationship with Him then I have ever had in my life. To this I give all a Glory to God for His love and Grace that He extends to us all. With that being said, I offer the below article about self awareness. Be blessed today and always.

Self-Awareness
By Oswald Chambers

Come to Me… —Matthew 11:28
God intends for us to live a well-rounded life in Christ Jesus, but there are times when that life is attacked from the outside. Then we tend to fall back into self-examination, a habit that we thought was gone. Self-awareness is the first thing that will upset the completeness of our life in God, and self-awareness continually produces a sense of struggling and turmoil in our lives. Self-awareness is not sin, and it can be produced by nervous emotions or by suddenly being dropped into a totally new set of circumstances. Yet it is never God’s will that we should be anything less than absolutely complete in Him. Anything that disturbs our rest in Him must be rectified at once, and it is not rectified by being ignored but only by coming to Jesus Christ. If we will come to Him, asking Him to produce Christ-awareness in us, He will always do it, until we fully learn to abide in Him.
Never allow anything that divides or destroys the oneness of your life with Christ to remain in your life without facing it. Beware of allowing the influence of your friends or your circumstances to divide your life. This only serves to sap your strength and slow your spiritual growth. Beware of anything that can split your oneness with Him, causing you to see yourself as separate from Him. Nothing is as important as staying right spiritually. And the only solution is a very simple one— “Come to Me….” The intellectual, moral, and spiritual depth of our reality as a person is tested and measured by these words. Yet in every detail of our lives where we are found not to be real, we would rather dispute the findings than come to Jesus.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - So was I - and went back and read the "prodigal son" parable and cried with sadness on my part, and SUPREME gratitude that He would accept me back and help me straighten things out in my life.

I pray that you and I are aware that our soul was created in the image of God and the Holy Spirit dwells with our soul for guidance, comfort, edification and admonition, my friend and brother-in-Christ PO1 H Gene Lawrence and sister-in-Christ Linda Lawrence.
I thank YOU dear God for are sanctifying the soul of each of us into the perfect image YOU designed for each one.
I pray dear LORD that reveal YOUR will for each one and guide us to clearly demonstrate our love for YOU by loving those YOU have placed us among. Purge us of all impurities in YOUR perfect timing. I pray for peace, joy, compassion and discernment as YOU mature us to treat others as we would like to be treated.
I pray that YOU guide each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters in Executive Branch Leadership [President, Governors, Mayors], Legislatures [U.S Congress and State legislatures] and Judges Supreme Court, Federal Appellate, Federal District and State Supreme Courts] to work for good and shun evil.
I pray that parents are making their children aware of how much they are loved by themselves and YOU. I pray that spouses are demonstrating love to each other throughout the day so that children learn the depth and breadth of love in healthy marriages and relationships – affection, how to resolve arguments and disputes and the value of truth-telling.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved one’s slept well Tuesday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs
On my bathroom break. Some people seem to go through life not just with blinders on but with a blindfold. You can't see others, serve others, without self awareness. It is required for effective leadership.
