APOD: 2020 March 23 - From the Pleiades to the Eridanus Loop

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "From the Pleiades to the Eridanus Loop." The Eridanus Loop (like Banard's Loop) is an area of ionized hydrogen to the right of Orion in the constellation Eridanus. The ionized hydrogen is responsible for the reddish glow from this emission nebula. The Pleiades are top center of the image. The Hyades and Alderbaran (constellation Taurus) are at the upper left. The level of detail in this image is due to use of long exposure (several seconds to several hours) photography.
