This video zooms into a group of interacting galaxies called Arp 273. The distorted shape of the larger of the two galaxies shows signs of tidal interactions...
Good Wednesday Morning Maj William W. 'Bill' Price!!! This is a magnificent image of two galaxies that have merged and separated (apparently according to some Astronomers)! The colors are simply gorgeous indicating the various temperature gradients of each galaxy... I was able to find a short video with music of this galactic phenomenon! https://youtu.be/6VjAWghoPYI

Maj William W. 'Bill' Price
Good morning Maj Marty Hogan. Here's a 1/4 scale mock-up of Professor Hubble's telescope in his hometown of Masrshfield, MO.

I know stars are quite unlikely to collide when two galaxies pass through each other because of how far apart they are, but I've always wondered at how much life was snuffed out as the Oort clouds of every star in each galaxy were disrupted, sending large chunks of ice and rock spinning down in to collide with the planets.

Great question and just curious as to what "type" of life would be included in your thoughts?
