Known for his tough military experience, Hegseth has been tapped by Trump to lead the most powerful military in the world. But not everyone is thrilled about this choice – “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg slammed Hegseth, saying he “clearly does not know anything about the military.”
Hegseth, a former Army National Guard officer who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, has been criticized for his views on women in combat and the lowering of military standards. In a recent clip aired on “The View,” he expressed his opposition to women fighting in combat, leading Goldberg to question his qualifications for the job.
“So is this the guy who’s qualified to make decisions about the most powerful military in the world who clearly does not know anything about the military,” Goldberg said.
