LTC Stephen F. Thanks for the share. I have to smile when I can see a show that would feature a group like Black Oak Arkansas and also have Sly and the Family Stone on the same airing. That doesn't happen much anymore.

When I was stationed at Fort Campbell in 1975, the post leaders decided to put on a musical concert on June 14, 1975 with a wide variety of band to appeal to the varied interests of the soldiers on post - Concert Title Music - You're My Mother failed to break even
Pure Prairie League, Rufus, Earl Scruggs and Joe Cocker performed. After Rufus left the stage many black soldiers displayed displeasure when the next group appeared. The post had mostly Vietnam War veterans at that time and tensions were high between the 'races.'
