Everyday is a new opportunity to start over- the beginning is always the hardest first step. I always think of this song from my childhood when thinking about new beginnings. What a great Good Friday and RED Friday message for this last Friday of the Lenten season. Happy beginnings to all of my brothers and sisters here.

Maj Marty Hogan - Great message Marty - thank you brother - enjoy the upcoming weekend and Easter Sunday my friend...

“Beginning — we all have to start somewhere, so why not start each as a new beginning, a new adventure, a new chapter in your life. Why Not? In everything you do there has to be a beginning, so that leads to this quote…

‘Allow yourself to be a beginner. No one starts off being excellent.’ — Wendy Flynn

May your everyday start like a new beginning, positive, full of purpose, and ready to take on the world; may your mind, body, and soul be opened to grace, goodness, peace, forgiveness, and a continued bountiful life of purpose; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Leadership is about beginning with a belief in yourself, your actions, and your ability to inspire. Have a great Good Friday! — COL (ret) Mikel Burroughs

Get inspire Saturday evening with the “Colonel” and drop in for Warriors for Life (WFL) and the presentation on “Progressive Muscle Relaxation!”

I hope that your courage of conviction inspires many people beyond your family and close friends. I hope and pray that YOU praise and thank the LORD each day. No doubt you understand that we exist in the present and each microsecond is a new beginning. ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.’ [Psalm 51:10-12 ESV] my brother-in-Christ Maj Marty Hogan.

I pray that each and every one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer is blessed with a deeper understanding of and appreciation for YOUR Atonement and justification for each of us, dear LORD. YOU selected each of us before time began and in YOUR perfect timing You regenerated the heart and soul of each of us as you initiated the rebirth of our soul. ‘Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.’ [John 3:3-6 ESV]
I pray for eyes to see what we need to see and ears to hear YOU LORD for each one of us who are parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters. I pray that YOU guide us to bless others who are in need of knowledge, skills, advice, and/or listening ears. Use us dear LORD to be lampstands for YOUR light in these dark times. ‘You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.’ [Matthew 6:14-16 ESV]
I lift those who are earnestly praying for others this night LORD. I pray especially for widows, widowers, divorcees, prisoners, orphans and those on their deathbeds who are earnestly praying for salvation for loved ones as well as enemies. LORD I pray that YOU guide our prayers and deliver us from praying for any YOU answer no. LORD I pray that YOU bless those earnestly praying with insight and that YOU provide hope to each one. ‘The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. [1 Peter 4:7-9 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Friday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Saturday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs and posse. I am being interviewed. Will get back to you soon.
Well, that was stressful but it's done.
Beginning...we all have to start somewhere on any project, learning any skill, building any relationship. It's important to understand and accept that where we are at the beginning is not where we will be after we've worked at something for a time. While we may feel it is difficult to begin something new, try to look at it from the point of an explorer in your own life. What new things can you embrace? Can you give yourself permission not to be perfect so you can actually enjoy the beginning? We are always harder judges of ourselves than others are of us.

Good comments today Charlie. When I look back at my careers I guess new beginnings never scared me away. Senior Stan Eval crewmember goes to entirely new aircraft; Instructor crewmember goes to Safety; Safety guy becomes munitions commander; Munitions commander returns to flying and then becomes joint staff officer; Staff officer becomes operations commander; AF guy retires and works at an aquarium. Lots of great new beginnings.
