APOD: 2019 September 4 - The Spider Nebula in Infrared

Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "The Spider Nebula in Infrared." The spider-shaped gas cloud on the left is actually an emission nebula (a nebula that emits light on its own) labelled IC 417, while the smaller fly-shaped cloud on the right is dubbed NGC 1931 and is both an emission nebula and a reflection nebula (a dust cloud that reflects light). Both nebulae lie in the constellation Auriga (The Charioteer). The featured picture in scientifically-assigned, infrared colors combines images from the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS). Spitzer was launched in 2003. 2MASS was completed by observatories in the US and Chilé.

Excellent APOD this morning Maj William W. 'Bill' Price and it is a magnificent image of a Nebula some 1000 light years distant... I could find no specific video clips of this nebula, but I did find a website called the "worldwidetelescope.org" that I found quite fascinating and allows one to zoom in or out, manually...
