All those lives, the fighting, the resources, the people are just a memory to those in power. As soon as the fubar removal of US personnel occurred, the power takeoff began with momentum. That’s what happens when the culture and history aren’t accounted for when someone makes plans,

The Taliban was going to take over no matter when we withdrew. The Taliban already had their hands on the government before we left. All they did was bide their time.
If the Afghan people want their country back, they need to take it back. No amount of western interference is going to get it. Clearly.
