“The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis.' One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger--but recognize the opportunity.”

A rather interesting way to define crisis. Opportunity flows from the situation, and either you seize it or you are to scared to do anything. The choice is youra!

Going with Shaw today- Don't wait for the right opportunity- create it
I am all over that- door is closed knock once and if there is no answer move to the next one. Opportunity is fleeting and you have to take it when it is in front of you. Churchill also spoke words that will last forever about opportunity. Great way to reframe negative thinking to positive. Great day starter again Col

Lt Col Charlie Brown - perfect fit. I have found opportunity is a moving target- if you wait it moves. I have recently had to find a different military position- I was going to be non-retained because I have too many years in the military. I have 34 years to be precise- but I am only 53 and would like to make my MRA of 56 and 2 months. My work the last 4 years has taken me all over and many have seen what I can do and I have a few things I want to accomplish in the military yet. I am going to start drilling in Des Moines starting in October of this year, which will allow me to maintain my current dual status technician position until my MRA and retire as a civilian- and stay in the Guard. I have too much to accomplish yet to walk off.
