Answer to Question 1 ; they don't teach History, they teach Shame. Answer to 2; why learn more if it isn't happening now. It's the current events taught as History with addendums of op-eds from the Teacher of why America is so evil/ racist/ should be ashamed,... if it can't be disparaging of America, it won't be taught.
