Yes LT.Col Charlie Brown .. really good performing.. Have been to some different venues ; lounges, bars and parks and if there’s music, whether a band or a DJ .. I’ve gotten out and danced(I preferred the easy slow “belly button rub belt buckle shining” songs. When possible.. the longer the better!) ..
Some places the floor is limited..
and there’d be a area outside the door fenced off(drinks had to stay inside)for dancing.. this only works when it’sweather permitting Of course.. was at one venue and a band was there and they had an outside area for drinking and dancing.. We were all having a good time.. one prob.. the bar’s dance permit ran July to July the next year.. it was the next year and accord’g to the township ithadnot been renewed yet.. So we finished the dance.. The township guy said
He told us it had to stop immediately.. we didn’t.. He had a guy with him with a citation book..
(My girl and I slipped out another door after I made sure we didn’t owe for any drinks..) that wasn’t covered by his or the bar’s bench men.. We were not parked on the property but at a hardware store across the road so our exit was unhindered.. this activity happened in Calif. where I was stationed (at Travis AFB).. one of the med techs I knew who had told me of the venue asked if I got an appearance ticket(he’d been there that night).. “what appearance ticket?” I asked him.. the one for
$50 he told me.. oh.. no, didn’t get one, we got out of there . We were parked at the hardware across the road.. Legally , it’s the venue’s violation I said.. I didn’t get one so I’m not concerned. .. I had orders
Sending me east to N.D. In another week.. I didn’t think he’d tattle.. like a little kid with his hand seen in the cookie jar.. So I pushed the thought to the archives.. and on to N.D. I went the next week following.
Months went by.. still no comment in communications .. I surmised it was one let-down i’m Guilty of.. I’ll deal with it when I meet St. Pete at the pearly gates...
