Good RED Friday morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs Internal freedom is a challenge for many. I interact with a number of people who are being held "hostage" internally by their own feelings, memories or their own unvoiced script. In order to become free you first have to acknowledge that you are not and why. That's a tough task for many.

LTC Wayne Brandon - I just ordered 5 research books from Amazon so I will be able to answer your question. I found English to Greek as well as a dictionary of all Greek words. It may take some time but I am started on the process of research.

Seeking truth is really a curse. Standing for truth is a larger curse. Sometimes I think how much easier it would be and less stress to shut up and allow lies and misunderstandings go forward. My time in Nam and working to stop radical groups as the KKK, NAZIS, etc made me understand how evil grows when no-one speaks out. As pastor Muller said in his speech, When they came for me there was no one left to stand against Hitler and his group.( paraphrased) Fascism grows becaUSE OF GOOD PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTANDING AND NOT SPEAKING.

I expect that you realize that being a bondservant of Christ is the surest way to bring inner freedom to your soul Charlie.
I pray that you and I pray for an increase in the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, faithfulness and self-control, and that the LORD blesses our family and neighbors with eternal salvation, my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.
Thank YOU, dear God for YOUR written Word filled with truth. Being a bondservant/slave of Christ, brings absolute freedom. I Corinthians 7 22-24 “For he who was called in the Lord while a slave, is the Lord’s freedman; likewise, he who was called while free, is Christ’s slave. You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men. Brethren, each one is to remain with God in that condition in which he was called."
I am grateful that YOU Holy Spirit dwells with the soul of each adopted son and daughter of the LORD. I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children is aware that being a bondservant of Christ is an eternal honor from the LORD.
I lift those adopted children of YOUR struggling tonight with physical and mental afflictions, imprisoned in the labyrinths of their tormented minds to YOU dear God. Bless each with hope in YOUR word and YOURSELF and lead individuals with great listening skills and wise counsel to each one.
I lift YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are widows, widowers, and divorcees to YOU. I pray dear God that YOU remind each one that they are YOUR bondservants who YOU atoned for on the cross for good and not for evil. YOU love to bless your adopted children as YOU turn what was meant for evil into a blessing for YOUR own in YOUR perfect timing.
I lift each adopted son and daughter of YOURs, their family members, friends and neighbors to YOU. I pray that YOU cleanse each of us from anything which hinders YOUR light and love flowing through us. I pray that YOU use each one of us to humbly demonstrate our faith in YOU to our family members, friends and neighbors. I pray that YOU motivate each one to be curious and ask us about WHO we have faith in. Give us words to speak when they ask why, dear God.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Friday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col. Mikel Burroughs and all the rest of my RP Family. With Jesus encapsulated in my heart, I have true inner freedom to do what God has designed for me to do. It may seem a bit contradictory to say I have become a slave to Jesus and then say that I have inner freedom. I find that I can not express that statement any better than what I have submitted below. Please consider it for yourself and be blessed today and always.

Here’s What the Biblical View of Freedom Means for Your Life
Dr. Art Lindsley
August 25, 2015

We’ve been looking at the biblical view of freedom in the Old Testament and in the New Testament over the last few weeks. We’ve also looked at alternatives to the biblical view of freedom.

Here are some implications from what we have observed.

1. Freedom is not autonomy or doing what you feel like doing without any constraints.

2. Freedom involves structure. Bondage to Christ allows us to be free to be what we are created to be.

3. Freedom is within the context of Law. We are not under the obedience to the Law as a condition of salvation, but the moral Law and Christ’s commands give us a guide to know how to live and to love.

4. We are truly free when we know the truth about ourselves and the world. This means throwing off the lies and deceptions to which we are so often captive.

5. Salvation is not primarily political liberation (as in some theologies). But God often intervened when his people were oppressed by unjust totalitarian leaders (See examples in Exodus, Judges, for instance).

6. Inner renewal often leads to outer consequences and renewal of the land.

7. The Bible doesn’t prescribe one type of government, but freedom (political, economic, and religious) is consistent with the Bible, not contradictory to it.

8. Inner freedom inevitably drives toward outer freedom. You can have political (economic and religious) freedom and still be in bondage to sin. You can have inner freedom in an oppressed situation. But inner and outer freedoms are the most ideal state for human beings (Micah 4:4).

With this background in mind, it is not surprising that freedom has become a cry for many people that are believers.

The Declaration of Independence sets forth our God-given rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

We have seen the cries for freedom that led to pulling down the wall between East and West Berlin.

Believers should be the most free to enjoy life and God’s creation, as long as it is within the structure of how God has made us. We are not free from God-ordained obligations, but we are free to live life as God intended it to be lived.

Good R.E.D. Friday Morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs from the beautiful Greater Fort Myers Area with a temp of 74° headed for the low to mid 80s... Having Breakfast with my wife, do will reply fully in a short while... Inner Freedom! An excellent quote topic for this Valentines Day... I relate Inner Freedom with Inner Peace and I believe these two words go hand in hand...

"When we achieve an Inner Peace, we will have achieved an Inner Freedom, which unlocks the gateway to the world around us." Kerry F. Harkins, February 14, 2020.

1) “Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.” Unknown

2) "The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence.” —Norman Vincent Peale

3) "No one outside ourselves can rule us inwardly. When we know this, we become free." Buddha

4) "The freedom from something is not true freedom. The freedom to do anything you want to do is also not the freedom I am talking about. My vision of freedom is to be yourself." Rajneesh

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace (Ephesians 4: 2, 3)
