Thank you, my friend SGM Steve Wettstein for making us aware that Democratic presidential candidate who once worked at McDonald's in Las Vegas and returned to her former workplace "to push for a $15 minimum wage – all while campaigning for a new job: President of the United States." The benighted progressive-liberal-socialist folks who believe that raising the "federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, up from $7.25," don't realize if the minimum wage goes up by almost 200% (1) most minimum wage workers will lose their jobs; (2) replaced by more skilled workers; and (3) the cost of virtually everything sold or produced by minimum wage workers will increase by at least 200%.

There actually might be a silver lining in some of this stupidity. Worldwide population is expected to start declining in 2040-2050. So some of this early ignorance in unintended consequences of pushing automation might actually help us later on BUT we are talking several decades here so there might also be a time lag of mass unemployment depending on how it all works out or is timed.

PO3 Bob McCord - Yes the furthest I have seen restaurant automation is NY LaQurdia Airport about 4-5 years ago. It was seat yourself, order via table top kiosk, one waitress brings food from one to two man chef in the kitchen. 2-3 people running the whole place. Janitorial was subcontracted to another company.

The promises of unicorns and rainbows to young are ways to keep a voting base. If you work at McDonald's for say, 20 years and you are still making minimum wage and you haven't been promoted up thru the ranks, you are doing it wrong. I have no sympathy for that person. McDonald's should never have been a long term job unless one is wanting to move up in the company.

Canada has 4 provinces rejecting the carbon tax that US Oil companies and Democrats want and are brainwashing the average Joe just like the Minimum wage. The Green bad deal policies and overbuilding/mismanaging the grid in Ontario, Canada raised electricity to be 300% higher than the rest of Canada. The Canadians already tried the $15 an hour wage.

I think she realizes it but she doesn't care and would rather manipulate the issue to get elected rather than answer to the piss-poor record of our Congress in passing legislation that promotes wage growth and upper mobility in our society via market encouragement vs government spending of taxpayer funds. One approach reinforces class warfare and a us against them environment which Unions use so effectively............the other uses contrition and gets the country on the correct path sooner. So the voter has to decide here.........Politician or Cockroach?

Whatever happened to the trade ship apprentice program promises the Democrats used in like 20 past elections? Aid to the inner cities? More police on the beat? Medical Aid to First Responders of 9-11? High Speed Rail program? Increased Transparency in Government? Government that works for the people vs against them? Promises never kept.
