I don't understand how some people get caught and then double down. The regulation is pretty clear on this. He was awarded something and shouldn't have been. Best move would have been to correct the record himself instead of trying claim a CIB. Another thing that irks me about this is that he somehow thinks a CAB isn't as "worthy" as a CIB. What's up with that? Just say you got a CAB and move on.

Thank you LTC Conway. You're a 38A too so you know EXACTLY what this guy is doing. OPCON'ed individuals don't automatically get the awards and everything from their assigned unit's. You know this. I know this. Literally everyone knows this.

At the provincial reconstruction team that I was at, 2.
Commanders before me have the issue of sleeping with his interpreter. He was brought back home for UCMJ Action. He then committed suicide shortly after arriving stateside.
Can't say what's wrong with the congressman but he's definitely out a line..
