Army combat fitness test threatens to undermine combat effectiveness
My last real APFT was in 2019. I got a 299. I did the new ACFT In 2021 at the age of 56. It was not that difficult but I couldn't brag saying that I would get above 90% in each event.
I don't know why they came out with this event; it's because you need weights and other special equipment. But you didn't need the old army physical fitness test. This conundrum drum has been over six years in the making. Our stupid president focuses on climate Emergency bs instead. With all its inflation, Military readiness is affected by less money going to the military.
This is why I am always posting this. The ACFT proceed with our bad president now. I don't see army brass changing their mind.I'm going back to the old a.p.f.t.

Should POTUS Biden ask Congress to take $360 Billion from climate change and reallocate it to...
President Biden told our adversaries on 7-9-2023 that we are low on Artillery ammunition. I bet if President Trump did this in a TV interview, we would have an impeachment proceeding. +++++Update 1-10-2024 The Recent Houthis attack on shipping has caused the US Navy to spend $17 million in shooting down 24 drones in one day. The US Destroyers and US Navy aircraft has expended about $80 million just in the last 2 months. The Stupid Biden...
I don't agree that the equipment is too expensive, the Army wastes thousands and thousands of on stupid things, it can afford some PT equipment. Much of it could be fabricated locally. I understand that it could be a problem for Guard units, but how about setting up a single test site per battalion and rotate the companies through it. There is no regulation that states you have to test the same day.
I don't disagree that flexibility reduces injuries. You train for flexibility, but how do you test it? You don't.
