During his speech in the key swing state of Nevada on Sunday, the former president posed a hypothetical scenario in which a boat with a large battery sinks while a shark was nearby.
"If the boat is sinking, water goes over the battery, the boat is sinking, do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted?" Trump said. "Or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted?"

He's merely describing a no-win solution, highlighted by using a "battery." He is demonizing the battery, for good reason! EVs are dead. They were a bad idea to begin with due to a lack of charging infrastructure, practicality, cost, efficiency, raw materials, etc. Hybrids are definitely the way to go until or unless these EV problems are solved. Unfortunately, until the cost of superconductivity is addressed, EVs will never be practical. He could have said: "EVs bad." But instead decided to give people with Trump Derangement Syndrome something to cackle about. You bit, hook, line and sinker! LOL!
