If Israel shows restraint escalation will not occur but if Iran continues while Israel shows restraint then all hell will break out and they will not be blamed for their response against Iran. If Iran continues and forces Israel to respond I'm about 90% sure Iran's nuclear program will be target #1. After all Iran is giving Israel the excuse they need to mount an attack.
