There are no words, at least none that I could use in polite company. Anyone remember how Jews were forced to work in German ammo factories and they sabotaged rounds to help the allied war effort?

In the 'you gotta be shitting me' section of Rallypoint, I'm not sure I'm reading what I'm reading. Our munitions are at the mercy of our two biggest adversaries? I'm at a loss.
But I'm not shocked progressive RPer's are all in on our locking up our resources at the expense of our military posture.

Introduction to RapidSX Rare Earth Elements Separation Technology

Belated thank you my friend and brother-in-Christ LTC (Join to see) for posting the perspective from defensenews.com author Bryant Harris "The US is heavily reliant on China and Russia for its ammo supply chain. Congress wants to fix that."
This is an over-the-top headline IMHO. Most of our ammunition is of the dumb or almost-dumb [some advanced guidance, etc] variety which can be produced here or in other friendly countries.
Rare-earth minerals are critical to many high tech applications including advanced weaponry. China harvests rare earth minerals and so does Russia. The whole point of rare-earth minerals is they are rare which requires sifting mega-tons of earth and rock to collect these highly sought after minerals.
With the uproar, on the left, for fracking - which is mild compared to sifting mega tons of property - it would be interesting to listen to the debate in Congress.
Perhaps we could conduct this sifting operation near nuclear waste storage sites. I doubt the facilities would claim not in my back yard. :-)

Researchers Refine Rare Earth Element Recovery Process
Researchers at WVU are working to refine the process of recovering valuable rare earth elements from acid mine drainage sludge. The sludge is a byproduct of ...
This is an over-the-top headline IMHO. Most of our ammunition is of the dumb or almost-dumb [some advanced guidance, etc] variety which can be produced here or in other friendly countries. I appreciate CPT Jack Durish for reminding us that sabotage could help [more likely in Russia with angst about Ukraine than China - unless the Muslims in west China are used for these processes.
