Official overseeing VA health records overhaul to leave this month

The top Veterans Affairs official overseeing its embattled electronic health records overhaul effort will step down at the end of the month, department leaders announced Friday.
Dr. Terry Adirim, director of VA’s Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office, will depart Feb. 25 to “pursue other opportunities” outside the department, VA Deputy Secretary Donald Remy said in a message to employees. She has been in that post since December 2021.

The top Veterans Affairs official overseeing its embattled electronic health records overhaul effort will step down at the end of the month, department leaders announced Friday.

So the VA bureaucracy takes down another wide eyed champion of change. :-))

It's not necessarily the Political opponents ejecting the good ones, but the Bureaucracy personnel that are usually the ones to vacate the achievers and continue the red tape octopus getting ever larger.
Streamlining the VA , as well ss any Department of the Government means loss of Jobs that the personnel in them for the most part are treading water on purpose. Job security is ensured when a backlog of claims/ records/ etc., get growing.
To streamline the claims/ record uploading would mean incompetence and goldbricks lose their cushy jobs and pensions and benefits, and/ and,,,,.... our government wants to appear as though they have things as good as the situation can get. But, it allows those in bureaucracy to keep their jobs no matter what the pace things are " done".
