SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL Another way to strip disabled vets of what they earned? Before they boot anyone from the program the V.A. needs to do an individual evaluation of the circumstances of why that Veteran is receiving the services to begin with and make sure if they need it, they still get it. If not, then it is time to boot them off the program. (This Veteran's opinion for what it is or isn't worth)

This on top of revamping definitions of certain disabilities. Is the VA really as screwed up as the rest of the federal government?

No. They are worse.

At least that is what I keep reading. I have never had any problems with big VA or with my local clinics. But I understand a lot of folks have. And I also rely on the VA far less than many others do.

My assessment is that the VA refuses to "tweak" when they see areas that need some updating. They let things go as long as possible, getting worse and worse, until they finally do a massive overhaul, often breaking as much as they fix, then do another two years of adjusting the overcorrections. Then they ignore that area/program for 20-25 years until the next overhaul. Just how it looks to me.

SGT Charlie Lee one of life's truisms: if you ignore the problem long enough, eventually it goes away.
