They’re probably thinking that the Caregiver program has been one of the most abused programs in the VA.
Getting rid of fraud and abuse isn’t going to be easy. It’s certainly a shame when good, honest people on the program are unnecessarily removed. But there are processes and procedures to remedy those situations.

SGT (Join to see) - I get the fraud part. The government is riddled with fraud everywhere. I hope there are reviews to help the truly needed so they can get the care they rightfully earned and deserve.

Department leaders said the changes were forced by Congress under the law. Veteran Warriors and the National Veterans Legal Service Program have sued, saying VA officials raised the eligibility standards arbitrarily and ignored lawmakers’ intent.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
