One of my friends on Facebook posted Glenn Beck and associate making fun of Biden's SOU address. It started with Beck and his buddy laughing about Burn Pits. I said the same thing to my friend. I also sent Glenn Beck a message suggesting he educate himself on burn pits saying, "Ask any Veteran if he thinks burn pits are funny. Ask any family of a Veteran if he thinks burn pits are funny. They are the Agent Orange of today.

Seeing that "burn pits" have been in existence since the invention of fire followed quickly by the first group of cavemen organizing themselves into a form of militia, wouldn't that make the burn pit the original form of toxic exposure?

I would think the VA would certainly be a component part of the remedy. The nature of military Burn-Pit exposure is those victims are due appropriate treatment and/or disability compensation.
The mechanism for dispensing that treatment could come in in a variety of ways: exclusively provided by the VA (within capacity and wait-time limits); private-sector medical practitioners (with appropriate oversight) or other vetted-entities capable of providing such appropriate service.
Disability compensation should be administered separately due to the “presumptive-exposure” nature of such claims.
We were responsible for the exposure. They paid the price (with their health). We are responsible for paying for the treatment to mitigate their condition.
