On October 26, 1881, the gunfight at the OK Corral occurred. The most famous shootout in the Wild West Took place between lawmen (including Wyatt Earp) and the Cowboys, with Tom and Frank McLaury and Billy Clanton killed.

Great historical note, and great timing. Nov 7 - 9 is the annual Clanton Rendezvous in Tombstone. Clanton descendants and Earp dependents gather and rehash who were REALLY the bad guys. Generally, the Clantons and the Cowboys were known to be rough men but polite to ladies and girls and always paid their bills. Unlike the Younger gang who once killed a man in Eagar, AZ "just to see if a bullet would go through a Mormon". It did.
