Just some random thoughts:
- The navy rarely gets credit for its sacrifices.
- It must be lonely being buried at sea.
- The US severely hindered Japanese Naval Aviation by sinking all her aircraft carriers. She could not match the industrial might of the US as it had 27 aircraft carriers at the end of the war.
