APOD: 2019 December 13 - Full Moon Geminids

Good Red Friday morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Full Moon Geminids." The peak of the annual Geminids Meteor Shower is tonight (December 13-14), and the writer for today's photo believes they will appear much as they did in this 2016 image (a composite of exposures taken near the Teide Observatory's Solar Laboratory, Canary Islands). The near Full Moon will be in the sky adjacent to the radiant for the meteor shower, but won't prevent you from enjoying the site if you are out and about with clear skies...it looks to be a rainout for this year here in the Carolinas.
