I hope you tolerated ‘Black Friday’ and anxious and perhaps rude drivers today Marty.
I pray that you and I stand fast for truth, Biblical love and justice as best we can and that we love other believers with significantly different opinions on less weighty matters than truth and Biblical love, my friend and brother-in-Christ Maj Marty Hogan.
I pray for wisdom and discernment for my brothers and sisters-in-Christ as well as an increase of the fruit of the Spirit: love, patience, compassion and kindness this season as Christmas approaches.
I pray that each one of the adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer are pouring out love, compassion and kindness to our family members, friends and strangers. As we empty ourselves, I am thankful dear God that YOU fill us afresh Holy Spirit with energy, power to witness, and courage.
Lord, I pray that United States Congress members and state legislators are paying attention to the views of their constituents on all sides. I pray that they will do their best to work out differences across the aisle to legislate wisely and craft bills that POTUS and state governors will willingly sign because it is good for this nation and the states.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well tonight.

How about the investigation of Clinton emails....? Good RED Friday COL Mikel J. Burroughs from Northern Virginia just outside the beltway, where tolerance is a rare skill. I expect a number of people practiced tolerance yesterday around their Thanksgiving tables as we did here. We did have to send Tom to the timeout corner but after that he was pretty well behaved.
Seriously, tolerance doesn't mean you agree; it means you agree to listen. We can all do more of that.

I'm in Georgia with my children this week enjoying 70 degree weather complete with plenty of sunshine and blue skies.
Regrettably, intolerance reared its ugly head at our gathering yesterday as none of us had any tolerance for the way the Lions gave the game to the Bears.
It's so very difficult to be a Lions fan and unless you are one, no one can know the pain we have felt since 1957.
