Good morning, Rallypoint. Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is titled "Dark Seahorse in Cepheus." The Seahorse Nebula, also known as Barnard 150, Lynds 1082, and Globular Filament 9, is a dust cloud in the constellation of Cepheus. Longer infrared wavelength data suggests that star formation is occurring within the denser areas of the cloud. Cepheus was one of the 48 constellations listed by the second century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 constellations in modern times.
