MAJ Ken Landgren
We are trained to be fighters, to be victorious, and never quit. It is difficult to be out of control, ask for help, and face the reality that the time in the service will end. The experience can be so painful that one wonders if all the king's men can put you back together. You must survive the darkest hours, and one day for some reason, your mind will be triggered, and a rebirth will occur, but you will be a different person. If you are lucky you will see beauty around you and experience "awe" from the past to the present.

MAJ Ken Landgren That training is what makes it hard for me to understand why so many vets do give up.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - The pain is so horrible that suicide seems like a viable alternative. In the process SMs will lose their careers, self worth, self control, and sometimes their families.

No matter what, there is always a reason to carry on. As a Warrior you never quit, that in itself should be more than enough. However i do realize that not everyone is the same or as strong. That is why we all need help.

Helps understand the mindset that many veterans out there have. Keep fighting the good fight and thank you for being engaged in the community!

Heidi Pinheiro - You bet! Helping a veteran find a job can give them new purpose/mission and can be life changing for many.
