The longer I'm alive, the more I believe there's no such thing as "one" combative philosophy. However, I think any such mindset includes aggression, repetition, and honing of the mind/body/soul to meet with and or do harm according to that individual's personal strengths and weaknesses. For me, there's a tightrope one walks between being a complete human being... or becoming a- well, you know.
I don't think being "all in" will help you much in a fight if your attacker outweighs you by fifty pounds and you don't train. Neither do I think the question of whether or not something is "ethical" matters much when facing life and death (I generally concede that if I am unable to avoid that struggle, then I must be in the "right").
