Good Red Friday morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the April 22nd Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD): "Planet Earth at Twilight." This has been an APOD favorite for over 20 years now (it was taken by astronauts aboard the International Space Station back in 2001) and has been an Earth Day feature since 2020. As we saw this past Sunday (APOD 4/17), you can see the blue mesosphere to the right and above the terminator. The colors of sunset (pink) in the dusty troposphere follow the terminator down and to the left. Have a good day, everyone.
