No We were Soldiers, most of the movie is one drawn out well executed firefight? No Navy Seals there are several highly entertaining gunfights in there as well? Since they went fantasy, I would take the firefight on the base when the marines are overrun in Starship Troopers over anything in the Matrix. That is just me. Further missing is Acts of Valor (as mentioned by LTC Jason Bartlett) and Lone Survivor both of which have great gun fights in them. Then again this is a list that is purely subjective. Everyone has their own criteria for what makes a good Hollywood gunfight.

Totally disagree, not sure how they came up with this list very subjective. They left off "Proof of Life" firefight with the M249 kicking ass. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aCqSXAwe4b4. I would even throw "Acts of Valor" in the mix. "Tropic Thunder" come on man....

LTC Jason Bartlett Yea, the firefight in Proof of Life is what makes it a great movie to me.

Thanks for sharing the 19 best firefights in cinematic history SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I have trouble watching realistic war scenes because I have a vivid imagination.

LTC Stephen F. this could entice the vivid imagination of a traumatic event. I also have to be careful watching such realistic war scenes.
