Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. We had several storm fronts come through yesterday but today it's a beautiful sunny day again.
I make it a habit to read at least one or two professional articles every day as well as reading other material. Reading is my #1 hobby and it has helped me learn quite a bit over the years. Learning is habit that you can develop; you don't have to be in school to be a learner. In fact, sometimes I think we learn much more when we leave. Not just book learning but life lesson learning as well. The key is to keep an open mind, and listen more than you speak.

I expect that you enjoy learning and sharing what you have learned with other people for their benefit. No doubt that those who depend on you for leadership, advice, and training sincerely appreciate your trustworthiness and noble sense of duty. I hope and pray that you and I are becoming more selfless in dedicating our time and talents. ‘Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.’ [Romans 12:6-8 ESV], my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown

I pray for good judgement, impeccable principles, noble character for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who read this prayer dear LORD. LORD I thank YOU for sanctifying the soul of each of us and purging each of every desire against YOUR specific will for us, in YOUR perfect timing and sequence. Thank you, LORD for dwelling with the soul of each of us and transforming the soul of each of us to reflect YOUR image by the end of our life. We see dimly as in a mirror in a darkened room in this life – then we shall YOU face-to-face in the new heaven and new earth. ‘make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ‘[2 Peter 1:5b-8 ESV]
I pray for parents and guardians of the very young preschool children who are toddlers of younger who are still learning how to interact with others in this infection-risk timeframe when so many wear masks. I pray these children are increasingly able to see the faces of people who love them and able to observe facial expressions including smiles, frowns, grans, pouting and other basic emotional facial expressions. ‘Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ [Proverbs 22:6 ESV]
I lift trustworthy government, military, business, & industry leaders, administrators, managers, parents, professors, and teachers to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU enable and empower each one of us to let YOUR light shine trough us to help others learn as much as they can through us even as we learn from YOUR Word as well as other noteworthy and trustworthy sources for education. ‘Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.’ [1 Timothy 3:1-2 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Monday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Tuesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

The Paradoxical Commandments by Dr. Kent M. Keith

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

IT WAS NEVER BETWEEN YOU AND THEM ANYWAY.
