Thank you for sharing this. I have never been able to ask anyone for help. I was raised a lifelong Army Brat during the second women's movement (the 60's/70's) by a father who taught me the talent of total self reliance. "If you want it done right, do it yourself." While this truly helped me with my careers and my life, my friends noticed that I would never ask for help, regardlessve h of how badly it could be needed. I will say, though, that I've been more than blessed to have had friends that gave me their help/assistance willingly by basically forcing it upon me. Hahahaha! God bless them all.
So now, at this age, I am still the same way and I still am not able to ask for help or assistance. Not at all. It's a hindrance sometimes, but when I am in those situations, I pray to Jesus for His help in providing me a God-send. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I'm still waiting. Glory be to God.
