Thank you, my friend Maj Marty Hogan for making us aware that February 5 is the anniversary of the birth of U.S. Naval Academy graduate and former American football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) Roger Thomas Staubach.

Staubach graduated from the Naval Academy in 1965 and went on to serve four years of active duty service in the Navy, with one year of overseas duty in Vietnam. Staubach played 11 years of professional football with the Dallas Cowboys and led the Cowboys to two Super Bowl victories. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1985, his first year of eligibility.

Maj Marty Hogan - great share on Roger Staubach. A Naval Officer & great QB and Leader, who captained the Dallas Cowboys in the late 1970s and the eary 80s. I watched him as a young child and was amazed at the poise he displayed on the football field. He is the best QB the Cowboys have ever had...
