Little did the Axis powers know that a powerful giant was awoken that would break the Axis nations. Generals were fired for ineptness and replaced. However other generals stepped up to the plate. It took Patton a week to turn the tide in N Africa. He chased the Germans to Sicily where the they could not escape fast enough. When Patton landed at Normandy and broke out of the area, he used his armor and mechanized infantry to push his army quickly in Europe which the Germans were ill prepared for.
