SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL If you have a claim against the government from this water contamination you don't need a lawyer. Go to the V.A. and file and appeal. I strongly believe my stomach issues are from Camp Lejeune, but the V.A. denies this and says there is no evidence of these issues to substantiate the claim. What you get paid in return for signing away your rights to future claim is chicken $hit, not substantial, I'm sure. Just lawyers looking for a quick easy buck.

The lawyers always win. That's why Bill Shakespeare always vilified them.

That is not atypical SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL! The bureaucracy moves at a snails pace in cases like this unless "all" relevant information is provided by the claimants...

The calculus for most lawsuits on behalf of victims usually follows the course of lengthy litigation, numerous revisions, constant objections and delays, etc., so that the intended beneficiaries of a successful outcome have long since passed on, and where the defendants then push for payout reductions due to the reduced number of litigants. Some of that has changed in recent decades, but there are still egregious aspects to this process that are blatantly dismissive and unfair to the victims.

SMSgt Anil Heendeniya The plaintiffs in a class actions lawsuit end up with little to nothing while the lawyer collects a hefty paycheck off of it.
