Davy Crockett State Park (East Tennessee) is about three miles from my home. Interestingly enough there is also a David Crockett State Park (Tennessee) at the west end of the state.

A hotel in Union City Tenn use to claim they had his rifle LOL never visited there thanks for the info. Of course the Alamo were i have been one time I believe clains to have it too. Personally I thank Antonio López de Santa Anna got it LOL but unfortunately I was not there with a camera. Or maybe I should be thankful so no Quarter was given.

Yes unless they were from Texas and then they might still be teaching about him in school. actually maybe not even then. Everybody thought i was a friek because I got the book "13 Days To glory from the library when i was in the 7th grade and read it.
