One of my favorite questions to youngsters acting tough is if they've ever had their a$$ whupped by an old man? I ask it quietly. No need to make a fuss.

I have been beat up by old people, young people, and once a girl beat the crap out of me for hurting her dog, which had just bitten me twice. She used a frying pan, and those hurt. So yeah, is realizing that getting your butt kicked is no fun, and most of the times, the tough guy isn't the one that won...it is the guy who didn't get in the fight in the first place.
