We wouldn't have any aircraft at all if someone hadn't provided programs that allowed pioneers such as the Wright Brothers and many others to develop aircraft. Just because you think it's a white elephant doesn't mean great programs will emerge from it.

The big white elephant in the room is a government that does not feel that it has to answer to the people:
* for its corruption, which has spread to all three branches of government and its federal agencies. The corruption is so deeply entrenched that the built-in Constitutional system of checks and balances is no longer effective at limiting, let alone getting rid of the corruption;
* because it has the media on its side promoting its unpopular domestic and foreign policies, which it pursues with abandon < despite opposition from the public;
* for the gross mismanagement of our tax dollars which they can't account for;
* for not enforcing Federal Immigration Law and enhancing Border Security;
* for the integrity [i.e., lack thereof] of our elections, and use of mail-in ballots which the Democrats used to steal elections in 2020.
The greatest threat to our country is not Climate Change or any of the other pet causes [white males, white patriarchy, toxic masculinity, guns, homophobia, transphobia, Christian bigotry, etc.] that the Democrats use to blame Conservatives and divert public attention away from their failures... The greatest threat we're currently facing is from within and it's coming from both sides of the aisle! It's a government that allowed the installation of a cognitively challenged, money laundering fraud who is merely a puppet that answers to his staff. His staff is running the country and has weaponized the power of the federal government and its agencies against their political opponents, thus turning this once great country into a Banana Republic.
