Just putting it out there if anyone's interested. The article does answer one question I've had for a while about firing shot through a rifled barrel; "So where does this revolver fit into the .410 utility gun category? The extended 13-inch barrel’s rifling causes shot loads to spin, just like the 6.5-inch or shorter barrels. Birdshot and buckshot loads still open up quickly which limits useful shot patterns to distances of around 5 to 10 yards." I've always thought this might be the case, it's good to know empirically.
I'm just going to stick with CCI .45ACP style Shot shells in a spare mag, for pests/varmints around the property. It's a lot easier to change a mag than it is to shove shells into mag tube.
