The Biden administration is worried about it now since it is an election year and a substantial percentage of the population is concerned about illegal immigration. Otherwise, Biden could care less.

LOL, So the Trump admin implemented several measures which made significant progress on the border, with the Democrats fighting every single measure and move. The Biden admin reverts from those measures, claims the border is secure for 3 F-ing years, finally admits there is a problem (Thanks in part to Gov Abbott), and now folks on this thread come to his defense saying the GOP is holding things up? Sorry no this is wrong, and you know exactly why. Tying funds to Ukraine or any other conflict outside to US is and should be a non-starter. These should be dealt with individually after we've addressed our own mounting crisis. As a reminder, our has been mounting under the Biden admin for 3 F-ing years! On top of that, we also know that what Trump wants is a better and more effective bill, unlike what the Senate offered. This is why we shouldn't accept it. In the meantime, Biden has the power to reinstitute those measures Trump put in place, and this would serve as a good faith measure going into the election.
