Lawmakers Advance Bill Mandating More Training To Carry Concealed Handguns in Colorado

One of the stated "reasons" that Democrats fight picture ID to vote, is that the costs of getting to the DMV or Secretary of State and the fees for obtaining a state ID are oppressive and an effort to disenfranchise the poor, specifically poor minorities. In most states
1) In most states the fee for a "walker's" ID is less than 15 dollars and may be waived able for those who are on government assistance. In Colorado the fee is $12.67 for those under 60 years of age and free for those over 60 years of age.
2) I wonder how they can make it to the appropriate government office to get their entitlements, but it is just too much to get to the appropriate government office to get ID.

In Colorado, to obtain a firearm one must undergo a mandatory background check, for which they must pay $10.50. The mandatory background check is valid for 30 days. After 30 days the purchaser must undergo another background check and pay another $10.50. This fee is not waiverable. If the seller is not a federally licensed firearms dealer, the buyer and seller must present as a federally licensed firearms dealer, who may add a third-party charge on top of the $10.50 fee for conducting the background check. Why is this not oppressive? Why is this not considered an attempt to disenfranchise the poor and minorities from their 2nd Amendment rights?
