Droughts destroy the mayan civilization. I was watching a national geogrepisode last night on twisty plus. well, our stupid President wants us to get rid of liquid natural gas, we can still have droughts and climate change without man's intervention.

Some people have done wonderful things by creating dams, creeks, and water retaining ponds. This practice facilitates flora and fauna, reduces floods, and helps aquifers recharge with water. Sometimes this process turns deserts into agricultural lands and revitalize towns by supporting plants and trees.
