The Attorney General thought she was being interfered with and she secretly recorded the conversation. Later comma she testified in front of parliament and proved that trudeau was lying to the canadian people. She was eventually kicked out of her position and they eventually kicked her out of her liberal party. You can still hold your position apartment as you also are the Attorney General at the same time. this is different compared to Congress. so they put a rival liberal Candidate to run against her, and she still won as an independent because she was a Folk hero for standing up for Justice.
This is similar corruption scandal. How president biden is dealing with except trudeau didn't earn money from it, but he still was pulling off political favors that were unethical.
