The next GOP president could use this 1873 law to ban most abortions without Congress

A right-wing think tank is pushing the next Republican president to enforce a 19th Century law in order to prosecute people who send abortion drugs through the mail.
Axios reports that the Heritage Foundation has outlined a plan to use the 1873 Comstock Act that banned the mailing of "obscene" material and enforce it with regard to abortion drugs.
"While the law has been cut down over the years, the abortion provision remained but was ignored while Roe v. Wade was in place," Axios writes. "Medication abortion usually involves the use of two drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol, in the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, and accounts for more than half of abortions in the U.S."
While the current United States Department of Justice does not hold the Heritage Foundation's interpretation of the law, that could easily change with new DOJ personnel who are more sympathetic to the anti-abortion cause.

There is an element of truth in this, and it is only legal if you follow some rather convoluted thought processes. 18 U.S.C. § 1461, prohibits “convey[ing] in the mails or deliver[ing] from any post office” any “article or thing designed, adapted, or intended for producing abortion.”
All that aside, this question, like the question of whether the FDA violated it's own rules in the approval process is already in the courts, and likely will ultimately go before the Supreme Court.

LTC Trent Klug - What do you mean "fully transgender men or women?" It's extremely clear you have no idea what you're talking about with transgender people. There are a lot of transgender people who never do gender reassignment surgery. There are trans men who keep their ovaries/uterus so they can get pregnant. There are trans women who do not remove their penis. And they are considered transgender. So your little "experiment" is pretty ridiculous. It wouldn't matter if you split up two islands with one has trans people and one has cis people. Honestly - I'd bet the island with the cisgender people, the majority of cis women would have either unalived themselves or found a way to escape to avoid being raped by the cisgender men.
I'd bet the island with transgender people would be far more successful and they could still repopulate if they chose to do so.
I can't understand why, if the trans population is "1%" why you guys get so butt hurt that they just want to EXIST. Why does it bother you so much? They aren't asking for anything but simple basic human rights. They just want to exist without harassment, without being attacked. Without having their rights infringed. They just want to be seen. That's it. I know wha tthe problem is - it's the same problem for every cisgender, white, heterosexual male - you fear becoming the minority.
