Newly elected Speaker Mike Johnson has yet to reveal his plan for how the House will work to avert a government shutdown that would take effect in about one week unless Congress acts.
The deadline to pass a plan is the end of the day next Friday, Nov. 17. The House left for the week on Thursday -- leaving just a few days for deals to be made when House lawmakers return on Monday.
Johnson has said multiple times that his funding plan will be available soon, but members are still in the dark. A proposal could likely emerge Friday or Saturday

Republicans have in austerity plan but President Biden has a plan to keep spending.
He denies there is a border wall problem, He thinks the climate emergency is more important than the wars going on in the world right now and the threats happening the taiwan and he wants to do an omnibus Bill that adds a whole bunch of fat and pork instead of having a stand alone bill. The federal reserve cannot rein in inflation for the remainder of his term or terms, if he keeps spending like a drunken sailor.
But you can't argue with an idiot who barely passed law School and who doesn't know the first thing about economics nor finance.
