He was a former school principal. That he didn't know how fire alarms work is absurd!

Notice how every Democrat rallies behind this pathetic socialist.
The US media is as bad as Pravda ever was.

Believe it or not, both these men are guilty of the same exact crime. Obstructing and/or interfering with Congressional proceedings. One received a stiff penalty, with the other even get a slap on the wrist?

The Capitol Police is investigating...I haven't seen much of anything from Democrats "rallying" around him. Just his staffers trying to get them to.
DC Code on false alarms and false reports: "(a) It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to willfully or knowingly give a false alarm of fire within the District of Columbia, and any person or persons violating the provisions of this subsection shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and be punished by a fine not more than the amount set forth in § 22-3571.01 or by imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Prosecutions for violation of the provisions of this subsection shall be on information filed in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia by the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia."
That should be easy to probably charge him with.
Obstructing Congressional or Administrative
Proceedings (18 U.S.C. 1505)
Section 1505 outlaws obstructing congressional or federal administrative proceedings, a crime punishable by imprisonment not more than five years (not more than eight years if the offense involves domestic or international terrorism). The crime has three essential elements. First, there must be a proceeding pending before a department or agency of the United States. Second, the defendant must be aware of the pending proceeding. Third, the defendant must have intentionally endeavored corruptly to influence, obstruct or impede the pending proceeding. Section 1505 offenses are not RICO or money laundering predicate offenses. Conspiracy to obstruct administrative or congressional proceedings may be prosecuted under 18 U.S.C. 371, and the general aiding and abetting, accessory after the fact, and misprision statutes are likely to apply with equal force in the case of obstruction of an administrative or congressional proceeding.
If they want to charge him with a federal crime, there you go. There's how to do it. I mean this: 'Bowman has said he didn't intend to trigger a building alarm, but rather was trying to get to votes and thought pulling the alarm would open the door.
"USCP officers had previously placed signs with clear language that explained the door was secured and marked as an emergency exit only," the statement added." Sounds like bs. So go ahead, charge him. Have a trial. If he's found gulity, he's found guilty.
He's being investigated by the Capitol Police. A couple Republicans want to put a measure to expel him. Go for it. I can't find anything that shows Democrats "rallying" around him on a Google search. I haven't gone on TikTok yet but I'd bet most things I'll see will say "What an idiot." I don't even see media outlets "rallying" around him. Every single result says he's under investigation or that he denies he pulled it to delay a vote. I don't see anything that's favorable toward him.
