NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. (AP) — The U.S. could have the first Ukrainian pilots trained on F-16 fighter jets before the end of the year, though it will be longer than that before they are flying combat missions, the director of the U.S. Air National Guard said Tuesday.

Good news, now if they can just survive the North Korean artillery shells.

We have probably been seeing some Yooks flying F-16 trainers down here in Tucson, given the number of sorties flying over our house on the way to the bombing range. Been going on for at least the last five weeks at all hours of the day. But no one in the military is going to confirm that. So I guess we just have to wait until October to see them down here.

They can fly them as soon as a couple of months..successfully...that's not the problem...being able to survive a threat using specific Tactics Techniques and procedures in one is a whole other day at the park.
