The fact that he was only worried about his career tells me everything I need to know. I hope they find h im guilty on all article charges and reduce h im to E-1, send him to Leavenworth to make very small rocks out of very big rocks witha very small hammer the when his time is up dishonorable discharge and forfeture of all benefits. No excuse...these recruits were in his charge and he let this happen.

A sad thing for the Corps. Training should be tough and realistic, however in basic training, it should be a little less tough. The fleet is tough like it's supposed to be. Basic is just that instilling basics. The fleet is where the training needs to be as close to real as possible.
I'm not sure how the DI's lost him for an hour. That doesn't bode well for their accountability procedures.

The charges seem pretty heavy considering what is known. They are certainly throwing everything in the book at this guy. The crucible has so many checks and balances in place for accountability. I wouldn't be surprised if other Marines get burned in the process as all of this comes to light.
