Paper and rolls can be manipulated...a government issued ID that has your picture and address on it is a face to face verification. It is not racist nor is it Jim Crow voting restrictions. You have to have a drivers license to purchase Firearms, Cars, Bank, pharmacies, doctors offices and pretty much everything else...they aren't racists so how is it when we want to protect the most sacred thing we have in our government from fraud it is racist? Horse nuggets. The reason the left doesn't want voter id's with address verification is that their dead votes (on the electronic rolls), their illegals (using a name from a electronic roll that hasn't been properly purged), and busing people from polling station to polling station or allowing mail ins AND in person votes for the same people...most of what I have personally witnessed over the past 12 years. Voter ID is a on the spot face to face verification that you are who you say you are and you are voting in the right district per your address and you are actually who you say you are. OH by the way if it isn't a drivers license most states will issue an ID for free.

I have to show my Driver's License everywhere just to back up other forms of ID. Even bank issued identification.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Before Oregon went to vote by mail in the mid 1990's, I had to show my ID at the polling place. There's nothing wrong with having to prove who you are to vote.

LTC Trent Klug - One would think...itis oneof the most precious and empoweringliberties we have...to vote...and to keep it pure an ID would dothat but we can't do that now, it is Jim Crow racist...Don't get it when you have to have an ID to do anything else.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth When have progressives thought about anything that's good for the nation? They only do things to consolidate power.

17 states were never part of the ERIC project, including a couple of blue states and purple states. This was never a nationwide deal anyway. It sounds like some special interest group put together a cute acronym and pushed it on the states that had some elective sway. The funny part is that California, NY and NH never joined.
If you can't make a nationwide data base that is instantly searchable for voter fraud, then voter ID is the only thing that should be used.
